1" Webco Retro BMX Stem. Made in Jacksonville, Florida by Webco BMX!
Webco started making some of the coolest chromoly BMX frames back in the mid 70's out in California. By the mid-80's, Emory Cycles in Jacksonville Florida had acquired the Webco brand, producing some 20" frames, and introduced the first 26" Webco frame. Now, in 2026, Webco has just made a VERY small amount of these 1" quill stems in the very same factory!
These were all made in-house at their family-owned Emory factory here (since the mid-1940's!) in Jacksonville Florida, and are not available anywhere else!
A quick history lesson.... Emory Cycle opened up their facility in Jacksonville, Florida in the mid-1940's. It's a multi-generational business now run by longtime owner Clayton Smith and his family. Back in the 70's and 80's, Emory was in their heyday, and they were cranking out some really cool beach cruisers each and every day. One of those Emory beach cruisers that Clayton made found its way out to California where a youngster named Scot Breithaupt was just starting out the sport of BMX racing. Scot took his modified Emory cruiser, and started the BMX cruiser category! BMX cruisers were born! Now, around 50 years later, Clayton has fired up some of his old machines, and made a few of these stems that we are offering here. Small run, made locally here in Jacksonville!

- Fits standard 22.2mm diameter bars
- 4 bolt top loading design with standard 21.1mm quill.
- Webco logo on the top plate
- Fits standard 1" threaded "old-school" forks.
*Please note that with metal parts, you may receive some parts with small nicks, scratches, or markings from manufacture, storage, & shipping. Also, these stems DO have circular clamp marks on the stem shaft from the manufacturing process from how the shafts are held during the assembly process. See photos for details. These marks are not seen when the stem is mounted.
